UWI GAMES

  • The UWI Games is a biennial competition normally held within a minimum of seven days of actual competition.  The inaugural games were held on the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies in 1965 during the then traditional Week of Festival and there were competitions in cricket, football, hockey and table tennis. The UWI Games has grown into a multi-discipline event which includes cricket, football, basketball, hockey, lawn-tennis, volleyball and track & field.  Each edition of the games is hosted at a different Campus.

The UWI Games 2009 will be held from May 21 - 28 in St. Augustine, Trinidad.
